Welcome back to my blog. It feels like it has been a very long time since I posted. With Valentine’s Day behind us, it seems that the wedding season has come early. These past few weeks have been busy with weddings, vow renewals, and this past weekend was my first Wedding Expo. Still, a blog post is long overdue and after driving through Dana Point today I figure this blog post will focus on this great Orange County city.

With Scott and Susan at the OC Sailing and Events Center in Dana Point.

I feel lucky to live in Southern California. We have lovely weather year round, gorgeous beaches, and beautiful people. I posted before about officiating weddings in Laguna Beach, but right next door to Laguna is Dana Point. With a population of roughly 32,000 people, it’s no surprise that most people outside of SoCal haven’t heard of it. But if you are familiar with the wedding industry in Southern California, you know Dana Point and chances are you know it well. Let me explain.

Dana Point has gorgeous beaches. I have performed quite a few weddings on the sand in Dana Point, but I have also been blessed to be a part of weddings held at some of the best venues in Orange County. Dana Point is home to two of the best and brightest venues on the West Coast. Weddings at the Ritz Carlton, Laguna Niguel (located in Dana Point) are gorgeous. The staff there is top notch and if you are fortunate enough to have your wedding there, you know that it will be a stunning event. I have two weddings scheduled for the Ritz Carlton this year and I am looking forward to them both.

Just down the street from the Ritz Carlton is The St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort. I have been a part of a few events at the St. Regis and let me tell you that the views are breathtaking and the staff is one of the best I have ever seen.  I was just there in December and even in the winter months, you can’t go wrong. It’s amazing that two remarkable wedding venues would be so close together but they are. Whenever I drive through Dana Point to or past one of these amazing venues I can’t help but smile.

Not everyone wants to get married at the Ritz Carlton or St. Regis and thankfully in Dana Point, you don’t have to. There are a number of other venues like the Dana Point Yacht Club, the OC Sailing and Events Center, and more. Plus there’s no better venue than the beautiful outdoors and Dana Point offers plenty of picturesque scenery for your outdoor or beach wedding.

That’s it for this blog. If you’re looking for a Dana Point Wedding Officiant, please do not hesitate to contact me to check availability. Tis the season and dates are filling up fast. Take care and remember that “You’re unique, and your wedding should be too.”
