Laguna Beach Wedding Officiant

Not too long ago I came across an article naming the Best Places to Get Married in Orange County and it was no surprise that 5 of the 9 venues listed were in Laguna Beach. Laguna is one of my favorite places to officiate weddings. The Gazebo at Heisler Park is gorgeous, and the view is magical. It’s a pretty popular location, but if you can reserve it (and once you find parking) it is definitely worth the effort. Crystal Cove is beautiful. I think that everyone knows that. Getting down to the tide pools with the kids is a popular past time for families like mine, and for weddings it is hard to Read more about Laguna Beach Wedding Officiant[…]

Planning Your Wedding At Work

Ladies and Gentlemen, I’ve discussed engagement season before but it is time that I revisit. You see, the majority of engagements happen between Thanksgiving and Valentine’s Day (roughly 40%) and we are now over the proverbial hump. Yes friends the Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and my personal favorite the New Year’s Eve proposals are over and all that remains are the Valentine’s Day proposals. If you’re reading this, chances are you got engaged during this season (be it 2013, 2014, or even 2012) and I want you to know that (1) I’m glad that you’re here, and (2) I’ve been expecting you. On Monday you will return to work Read more about Planning Your Wedding At Work[…]

My Time in a Wedding Photo Booth

When I joined The Wave Lounge earlier this year, I saw that all of the vendors in the lounge had a wedding photo booth strip next to their business cards (you need to come to the office and check it out). Of course I needed to get my wedding photo booth picture too, but the wedding photo booths are always booked and I hadn’t had the opportunity until today. Today I got to spend some time in one of the Water Tree Events Photo-Video booths. I’d heard some great things about this wedding photo booth and let me tell you that it’s all true! This is the Cadillac of photo booths. Read more about My Time in a Wedding Photo Booth[…]

Fallbrook Wedding Officiant

As a Fallbrook wedding officiant I like to provide you with my thoughts on the beautiful wedding venues available in the Fallbrook area. Today I had a rehearsal at an amazing venue in Fallbrook and it got me thinking. I am going to start blogging about venues that I have officiated at. There are far too many to count, and to avoid praising any one particular venue, my plan is to blog about a city and venues that I have worked with in that city. Got it? okay. Today’s city is Fallbrook, CA. Up until recently I had never been to Fallbrook to be a wedding officiant, but today was Read more about Fallbrook Wedding Officiant[…]

Military Wedding Officiant

I know a thing or two about the military.   Having served myself I respect the traditions and camaraderie that come with being a part of our armed forces. One such tradition is the military wedding ceremony.   While on active duty, most military personnel elect to be married by a military Chaplain. It is part of a military Chaplain’s duty to perform weddings and they do not charge a fee (however it is customary to make a donation to the chapel). But what about after you’ve separated from the military? If you do not belong to a church and therefore cannot ask your Pastor, usually you end up on Read more about Military Wedding Officiant[…]

Holiday Proposals

Ladies and gentlemen the time is now for holiday proposals. The season is about to begin. I don’t mean the holiday season! Well I do, but I call it something else. I call it, engagement season! It’s a well documented and accepted fact that nearly 40% of all proposals and engagements happen between Thanksgiving and Valentine’s Day, and as your wedding officiant, I’m getting ready.   Last year I wrote a cheeky blog called Tis the Season about the holidays, holiday proposals, and reasons to propose this year. With so many new readers and followers, I figured I’d revisit it with a couple of updates. So if you’re ready, here Read more about Holiday Proposals[…]
